I’m learning more WordPress basics on Thankfully, it seems the subscription I get from NYU has not expired yet. For those who don’t know, is a really high quality video learning website. Definitely check it out.

I should be finished with the basic WP stuff today and I’ll start the plugin development next. I hope that this lynda subscription lasts for a while.

Hello world!

Today is my first day as a college graduate. The purpose of this blog will hopefully be a hobby I can keep to in which I log all the things I do every day. I’ve heard writing down what you’ve done in a day can help motivate you to keep developing yourself. I aim to make a post every day or at least every other day.

The first thing on the agenda is learning the ins and outs of WordPress. (Un)Fortunately I set this site up with the express setup provided by cPanel, but I have set up a WP site several times in the past, so I’m not completely lost here.

I spent 2 years solely in compiled languages like Java and C, but now I’m entering the world of Javascript, PHP, and the frameworks they have available. I’m not sure what I’m going to do in the future, but it definitely wouldn’t hurt to know how to work in these languages.

Projects I want to do/complete (in no order):

  1.  Kum Fung Kitchen Android / iOS app
  2. BarCart iOS/Android app
  3. Kum Fung Kitchen website
  4. PadSquad WP plugin
  5. PadSquad Android / iOS App
